The first Massivit 1800 3D printer has gone into production in Bayswater, near Melbourne. The machine was installed by local Massivit distributor, Photo Electronic Services.
Omus Pty Ltd in Bayswater, Victoria announced on the 25th of July that it had started production of its super sized Massivit 3D printer.
Robert Grosso, director of Omus said that his business partner Matt Huber and himself purchased the machine in Israel in April, before Drupa, and specifically purchased the machine because he knew the local demand would be great given it's capabilities. "We had been looking at this technology for a number of years, and finally Massivit released the 1800 for the Display, POS, billboard markets. There are so many applications this machine can be used for and we are just touching the surface with what is achievable." he said.
He went on to say that, "Never before has the designer had the opportunity to create customised objects and have their files outputted to the exact detail and size imaginable.
