The Future Print Apprenticeship Project was undertaken in response to a significant transformation in the print and graphic communication industry.
This required a review of the skills of workers in the industry, including how these are developed and recognised. As one of the first crafts, apprenticeships have been a key part of the industry skills formation process from the middle ages. While
times have changed the merits associated with a ‘learning and earning pathway’ to develop productive workers and build sustainable businesses still remains.
