Clay Wells is running the family business his Grandfather Tom started many years ago with a simple sign box full of paints and sign pencils.

Bentleigh Group has grown and now Clay runs a very successful company that is a hub for manufacturing in the Oceania Region.
In January Australian Visual Hardware installed a new Flora 3220 printer into Bentleigh Group’s Melbourne manufacturing site.
Bentleigh Group led the way in flat bed print having their first hybrid Flat bed printer installed in 2008. The outdated flat bed no longer had the output to meet the demands of a growing business and the hunt was on for a new flat bed.
Bent Grp FloraThe Flora flatbed chosen by Clay was the 3220 flat bed that had a 2000mm x 3200mm print bed.
The Flora 3220 has retractable media pins that make the registration and ease of loading so easy in a high capacity printer. The 3220 also has automatic head height adjustment that can print up to 100mm.
The key buying decision also came back to a return on investment. The Flora has a price advantage when compared to established brands and like all manufacturers trying to establish a market presence the three year warranty is a substantial cost saving compared to service contracts.
While Bentleigh Group went for a double CMYK printer with 8 heads they are no way locked into their head selection. The Flora head carriage can hold 16 heads and is pre-wired so at any stage heads and colours can be changed to accommodate growth.
Bentleigh Group’s install was seamless and took about 2 days to install, pump up and then work with Clay’s team to colour match their key accounts and get the machine bedded in place.
Day 4 was a simple colour match day that enabled Bentleigh Group’s staff to become familiar with the Flora print functionality and pass modes that deliver different print examples.
