Sun Chemical presented its new pouch system for its aftermarket range of inks, as well as the upgraded Streamline ESL 3 ink.
Sun Chemical’s new ECO PRO pouch feed system, designed for its Streamline aftermarket ink series, provides print service providers with environmental, high performance and aesthetic benefits.
The new ECO PRO pouch feed system combines the advantages of the original ‘closed’ cartridge ink feed system with the higher ink volumes offered from the external pouches. The sealed ink pouches fit into a cradle above the printer which is plumbed to lower cartridges, which slot in as normal. This offers print shops a cleaner working environment avoiding spillages from manually topping up ‘open’ ink tanks. As a result, the ECO PRO ink pouch system lessens the workload for the operator.
The closed system removes the risk of air bubbles from entering the system which can cause ink feed issues and nozzle drop out, resulting in printer downtime. The ink pouches also ensure the highest print performance with the latest generation high speed print heads when fitted to new printer models.
Ink Pouch systems also offer considerable environmental benefits compared to ink bottles and cartridges as they can be recycled more widely. Currently, Sun Chemical offers these 800ml ink pouches for the Streamline Ultima HPQ LO (CMYK) and the new Streamline ESL3 (CMYK, LC, LM, LK) ink ranges.
At FESPA 2017, Sun Chemical will showcase the new pouch system for its upgraded Streamline ESL 3, Sun Chemical’s latest addition to its Streamline range of solvent-based, alternative inkjet inks, designed for wide format printers. Streamline ESL 3 is a fully colour-matched and compatible ink series for the latest Roland Eco Sol Max 3 ink series.
Streamline ESL 3 is formulated with Sun Chemical’s highly successful Greenguard & Greenguard Gold certified HPQ-LO (High Print Quality – Low Odour) ink chemistry, ideal for print shops working in confined spaces and for printed display graphics in locations where low indoor emissions are essential.
