Epson Australia’s PacPrint 2017 stand, its largest ever tradeshow stand, will house the company’s full range of printing solutions across signage, graphics, textile, fabric and business. Themed “See new possibilities”, the stand focuses squarely on the new business opportunities now made possible by Epson’s premium range of high speed, high quality, cost effective and flexible printing solutions.
In the labels area there is one sure-fire, stand out performer and that’s the much-heralded Epson SurePress L-6034VW single-pass industrial digital label press, which is powered by Epson’s PrecisionCore® linehead technology and is the first to use Epson’s low migration LED UV curing ink. The SurePress L-6034VW delivers precise quality and high-speed printing ideal for short- to mid-run jobs across all industries including health, beauty, food and beverage by leveraging its
plethora of technologies. Solely developed and manufactured by Epson, the new SurePress L-6034VW is designed for label producers investing in a digital label press for the first time or looking to expand production facilities with a reliable, easy-to-use press.
An incredible 14 Epson PrecisionCore® lineheads are the key components behind the high performance, high reliability, low maintenance, and low running costs of the SurePress L-6034VW, while the flexibility to print high-opacity UV white ink first or last significantly boosts image impact on clear and metallic substrates, and expands the variety of labels that can be produced.
Also in the labels arena are the ColorWorks C3500 and ColorWorks C7500 desktop label solutions which enable users to increase productivity and eliminate the costs and waste associated with pre-printed labels. Ideal for high mix label requirements, these commercial inkjet label solutions feature fast-drying, durable colour inks suitable for a range of media types and sizes. With on-demand colour printing, instead of maintaining an expensive inventory of pre-printed labels, you can print the labels you need, when you need them at speeds of up to 300 mm/second and print resolutions of up to 1200 x 600 dpi.
The SureColor SC-S80600 |
The Epson signage solutions on show this year will be spearheaded by the company’s flagship 64”, roll-to-roll signage printer, the SureColor SC-S80600, which recently joined the industry-leading SureColor Prographics range and boasts PANTONE® coverage exceeding 98%. The SC-S80600 has been designed for high colour reproduction on a wide range of substrates including vinyl, canvas, film and paper. It is part of a range that includes the high speeSC-S60600, also on display at PacPrint 2017. All models in this range feature superior quality imaging with simpler, faster and more efficient operation. Prints can be produced using less ink and less power, at faster production speeds, and with significantly faster drying times. Jobs can be turned around in the same day at reduced cost and higher quality.
Sitting neatly alongside the SC-S80600 is the award-winning SureColor P5070, the 17" (432mm) large format printer that is designed for premium photo, fine art, proofing and packaging design. It supports a wide range of standard and specialist media in roll and sheet formats and features a PrecisionCore® thin film (TFP) head with Variable Sized Droplet Technology™ that enables the output of images in high resolution with superior fidelity and tonal gradation. It also uses Epson’s latest UltraChrome® HDX all-pigment aqueous ink for accurate colour with an enhanced gamut, Dmax and image durability. The printer uses a 10 colour ink configuration with two levels of black, a choice of a third black or alternative violet ink for outstanding colour and B&W prints with up to 99% PANTONE® coverage.
The Epson P800 |
Also in this space on the PacPrint stand is the Epson SureColor P800 delivering professional quality photographic and fine art images in sizes up to A2 and larger using large cost-effective ink cartridges. There’s also the SureLab D700 compact commercial photo and photo merchandise printer designed for use in retail and by businesses, in photo mini-labs and pro labs, at events, tourist destinations and entertainment venues, by professional photographers and designers.
In the posters and graphics area it’s hard to go past the Epson SureColor P20070, a 64" (1,626mm) large format production printer that is designed for medium-high volume graphic, fine art and poster printing. It supports a wide range of roll and sheet based media and features a PrecisionCore® MicroTFP print head with Variable Sized Droplet Technology™ for output with superior resolution, gradations and colour density. It uses Epson UltraChrome® Pro all-pigment aqueous ink for quality colour and premium B&W output that is consistent, predictable and durable and its cartridges feature an extra-large capacity for extended operation with a low cost per print.
Epson are also demonstrating their SureColor T7200D, which features Epson’s latest PrecisionCore® print head and aqueous UltraChrome® ink chemistry and which prints an B0 image in as little as 70 seconds with output that dries almost instantly to be water and rub resistant.
Epson's® print head technology with UltraChrome® DS ink, a large Continuous Ink Supply System, 64" wide print engine with media output heater, and high precision Auto Take-Up. The engine, supply system and ATU all work together to facilitate continuous roll-to-roll printing at speeds up to 100.1 m2/hr for an efficient production process.
Keeping the SureColor F9200 company will be the SureColor F2000 Direct To Garment (DTG) printing platform for work involving cotton based shirts, caps, bags, and promotional items. Prints can be made to pre-cut fabric or directly onto a finished garment with a heat press then used to 'fix' the dye. It enables production of customised and value-added goods with high impact and good wash/wear durability.
Last but in no way least in Epson’s PacPrint extravaganza is their recently released and much-heralded superfast eco-efficient business inkjet printer, the WorkForce Enterprise WF-C20590. This ultra fast 100 page per minute (ppm) departmental colour office A3 printer delivers the ecological benefits that only inkjet technology can offer, providing a low power solution with far fewer supplies than a departmental laser copier. The 100ppm WorkForce Enterprise WF-C20590 is designed to meet the needs of departmental office printing in corporates, SMBs and SMEs, especially those that have peaks of high-volume productivity.
To further enhance the printer quality of the WF-C20590, Epson has incorporated a number of technology innovations, including a self-maintaining printhead to deliver consistently outstanding print quality and an electrostatic transport belt to maintain quality at high speed. What’s more, this new technology delivers a step-change in environmental performance, reducing power usage by up to a staggering 96% compared to the same speed laser printer [1] without needing a specialist power supply.
