HVG and Ricky Richards are usually fierce competitors in the performance fabrics and wide format print markets, but they have united and swapped donations for charity fundraising events they are supporting this year.

HVG CEO Bruce Rayment has signed up for the TourXOz 2017. The charity bike ride to be held in September 2017 will take 80 riders, 30 support crew and 15 vehicles from Perth to Broome raising money for the Black Dog Institute.

Ricky Richards General Manager Kathryn Polgar and Print Media Sales Rep Michael Smith are walking the Great Wall of China Trek organised by Melanoma Institute Australia which Ricky Richards has supported for the past 2 years.
According to Bruce, “I bumped into the crew from Ricky at the recent FESPA Exhibition in Hamburg. Ron Gottlieb mentioned he saw I was doing a bike ride, so I asked him to make a donation. He suggested I donate to Kathryn’s walk, so Kathryn and I agreed to swap donations. The Melanoma Institute do great work and I applaud the support Ricky Richards have given them.”
Kathryn said, “We right away saw it as an opportunity to support each other in our chosen charities. Corporate social responsibility is high on the agenda for both HVG and Ricky Richards. It is even better when two alike companies can come together and support worthy causes.”
