The UCJV300-160 and UCJV150-160 are new UV roll to roll print and cut machines. The new machines will incorporate a new function called the 4 layers of print – colour+black+white+colour. Mimaki say that the print effect of this is an image changing appearance between daytime and nightime.
New laminators, the LA-160W and LA-170W plus Mimaki’s own laminate, the Mimaki Vision Laminate 310-137.
Both models are equipped with a “Warm” function which allows the units to heat up to a maximum of 60 degrees. The media surface printed by UV ink is likely to have an evenness, but these units can improve the adhesion of laminating to reduce generation of silvering.
The new full colour 3D printer – 3DUJ – 553, samples of which have been shown locally, will also be available in November. Whilst Mimaki will pursue the many opportunities in all industry sectors, in our own industry, Mimaki sees a great future for those printing and sign businesses that want to venture into 3D printing.
