Inkjet technology is gathering pace and the latest survey by smitherspira predicts it will be a global USD$100 billion sector by 2023. Wide format started it all with the Iris Graphics and Encad machines in the early 1990s - although the invention of ejectable ink droplets is credited to Lord Kelvin as long ago as 1867, with his 'Syphon Recorder' used in transcribing early transatlantic submarine cable messages.
We're all for the future and see exciting times ahead for inkjet technologies of all kinds but particularly what we know as 'wide format' applications.
