Meteor Inkjet, the UK-based supplier of electronics and software for industrial inkjet printheads, updated its software portfolio with the integration of the new Harlequin Host Renderer RIP, which will be on show this week at InPrint in Italy.
Developed by Global Graphics Software, the Harlequin RIP is a world-leading, feature-rich RIP capable of meeting the demands of all graphics markets including packaging, coding, books, transpromo, commercial print, labelling and décor, says a company press release.
With this integrated RIP, formats such as PDF, PostScript, EPS, TIFF™, JPEG, PDF/X and PDF/VT can be printed using any industrial inkjet printhead powered by Meteor electronics.
First used in a production system in 1988, today’s generation of Harlequin is at the heart of a range of digital presses from Canon, Delphax, HP Indigo, HP PageWide, Memjet, Roland and Durst. It is now available, fully integrated out-of-the-box, to all Meteor electronics customers.
