Entries have opened for the state Printing Industry Creativity Awards (PICAs) which kick off in Adelaide in June, with all state winners eligible to compete in the 36thannual National Print Awards to be held during Printex19 in Sydney in August. A Large Format category is for work printed on any substrate using any printing method, and includes pull up banners, indoor visual, building banners, bus shelter signage, real estate signage.
“39 categories give you ample opportunity to find your work displayed in Parliament House at the next Print 2 Parliament!” says the Printing Industries Association of Australia (PIAA) in a tweet.
Major awards include: the Judges Award – one winner is chosen from all entries; Media Super Young Executive of the Year Award; Future Now award for commitment to workforce development; Environment Award; LIA Apprentice of the Year Award; Life Time Achievement Award; and Creative Sustainability Award.
There are 18 General Print categories and separate awards for Embellishment, Labels, Newspaper, Self Promotion, Large Format - printed on any substrate, any printing method. Includes pull up banners, indoor visual, building banners, bus shelter signage, real estate signage - 3D Print, Regional/Small Business Printing Awards, Branding & Identity, Packaging & Labelling and Promotion.
PIAA members receive one free entry each, then it’s $60 per entry for PIAA members and $80 for non-members.
“From the beginning, our printing awards have been a tangible demonstration of the exceptional capability within the printing industry,” says the PIAA. “The impressive creativity and production of work in our industry deserves to be shared. The awards provide an opportunity to promote our industry to a wider audience of key influencers in their choice of communication channel such as advertising and marketing agencies, clients, policy makers, training institutions and more.”
