FESPA UK Association, representing wide format and screen print service providers, industrial and specialist printers, has partnered with the UK Sheet Plant Association to host the UK Corrugated and Print Show at The Exhibition Centre Liverpool in June 2019. "This is a great initiative and much needed as digital inkjet methods and die-cutting merge into corrugated production," says Wide Format Online's Andy McCourt.
Over 70 Corrugated Industry and the Digital Print sector manufacturers and suppliers will be exhibiting products, machinery, software and services to global visitors from the Corrugated and Carton Board Industries and buyers of printed packaging and POS material in the UK, Europe and the US.
Wide Format Online publisher Andy McCourt notes:
"This is a great initiative and much needed as digital inkjet methods and die-cutting merge into corrugated production. However, it is not the 'first corrugated and print exhibition' in the UK. While based on London from 1990-94 I worked on a couple of very successful Corrugated trade events staged by Reed Exhibitions and UK trade associations, which I believe now comprise the Sheet Plant Association.
“The UK has long demonstrated technical excellence when it comes to corrugated boxes and cartons and I cut my teeth in the patterns & packaging department of the Cadbury chocolate company, Bourneville. As a young trainee, they unwisely put me in charge of destruction testing of boxes and contents in what was called the Travel Test Lab. What happened to those damaged choccies, Easter Eggs and bars after crushing, shaking and slamming will remain undisclosed!"
The UK Corrugated & Print Show 2019 is to be held at The Exhibition Centre Liverpool (ECL) on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th June 2019.
The Sheet Plant Association represents the interests of corrugated sheet plants and their suppliers.
