New Zealand architectural and signage supplies group PSP has established a new Signage & Graphic Supplies division, headed by high-profile former Total Supply owner, Dean Stuart: “They’re the country’s biggest substrate provider so adding self-adhesive films and print media is a natural progression.”

“What really interested me about coming to PSP was the new platform that PSP is offering; a true national supplier with multiple warehouses and a sales team,” says Stuart. “For me it’s all about growth, growing another great division of PSP, and I’m looking forward to getting out there to offer a really comprehensive range of rigid and flexible products.”

Stuart sold his former company, leading NZ sign industry supplier Total Supply, to Spicers in 2014 for a reported $NZ5 million.
He started his new role as business unit manager for PSP Sign & Graphic Supplies on March 1. “I’ll be spearheading the development of self-adhesive films and digital printable films in the PSP range of products, which now includes Arlon Graphics.”
Stuart told Wide Format Online that the company's move into flexible signage media has been welcomed by the industry.
‘It’s going great guns. We’re going from strength to strength and we’ve been very well received. Certainly, customers are looking for a consolidation of supply chains over here and I think that’s happening globally as well. I’ve been in the industry for about 30 years, as a signmaker in the early days and then in distribution, so I’ve been busy reconnecting with a lot of people.
“PSP has been around for many years but they’ve recognised the need to be a full service provider and they’re now New Zealand’s single best source of quality rigid and flexible signage media.”
PSP Limited has five distribution centres throughout the country, with sales and warehouse branches in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch. The new Signage & Graphic Supplies business is based at its facility in the largely industrial area of East Tamaki, a suburb of Auckland.
“East Tamaki has become the signage hub for PSP Limited because it’s just one of the best distribution points as far as couriers around the country go,” says Stuart.

Natalie Jeans, PSP’s national sales manager, says: “This is exciting news for PSP and for our customers. Since Dean has joined our team, his immense and respected experience in the industry means that we offer signage media with substance.
“As we are seeing internationally and here in New Zealand, our customers increasingly want to buy the whole package across rigid and flexible products, wanting experienced people to give them great ideas and back-up across all product types.
“This news means our customers only need to make one call from now on – we can now do everything for them, so they have no need to go to multiple suppliers. We are serious about adding real value and efficiency to our customers, who can now come to PSP for rigid and flexible products, saving time and adding efficiencies.”
Established in 1984, PSP specialized in the marketing and distribution of flat plastic sheet products. Formerly known as the Plastic Sheeting Place and Pacific Structural Products, the company's name was formally changed to PSP Limited in late 1996. The introduction of corrugated plastic sheet in 1987 saw the company expand its product range and become a supplier of translucent roofing as well as plastic sheets.
Today, PSP’s range of products are marketed under four groups: Plastic Sheets; Sign & Graphic Supplies; Translucent Roofing; and Design Solutions
