Expanding wide format supplier Charti has named Siwei Sun as its product manager to lead the company’s accelerating New Product Development programme.

“Sun joins Charti with ample knowledge and skills to fulfil this role, such as in product sourcing, strategizing, having a keen eye to detail, and maintaining great relationships with suppliers, which she has gained from her previous role at Stagshead, a Melbourne-based importing and exporting business with operations in Asia,” says a press release from the Melbourne-based wide format industry supplier.
Charti’s managing director David Cheng says Sun will play a critical role at the company.
“Our customers are telling us that our core products are already good but we wish to take our entire product assortment from ‘good’ to ‘great’ in our pursuits to be a ‘one stop shop’ for our customers wide format printing requirements,” Cheng says. “I believe Siwei’s hard-working ethic and positive attitude alone will be a great asset to our team.”
Sun says: “Charti has only been around for two years but the company already has evolved with over 20 team members, has been accredited by biggest brands in the industry and has a growing customer and product list. I’m thrilled to be a part of something very big and I believe my new role will really elevate the product range and quality for our customers.”
Sun’s new role begins on Monday 15th April. Charti says it plans a new product launch in Q4 of 2019.
The nationwide provider of large format printing supplies sells hardware from brands such as Epson, Canon and Mimaki, and distributes a range of high-quality media.
In February 2019, a week after signing a new partnership with Océ Australia in Queensland, Charti named former Océ executive Richard Townsend as its new business development manager for Queensland.
In December 2018, Charti extended its national network with the acquisition of Stanton Media, a Brisbane cut-sheet and large format media supplier.
