Out-of-home advertiser Goa, Queensland’s largest billboard and signage company, offers a range of interactive billboards that can be tailored to meet any objective, from directional signage to broadcast digital billboard campaigns. The company also has an innovative GoaCam live service that streams live video feeds from any of the company’s billboard locations

An early photo of the billboard (see above) showed 24% in favour of the mine and 76% opposed, but the opposition to the mine has now strengthened to an overwhelming 94% saying they don’t want to thermal coal mine to proceed.

UK govt backs new signage apprenticeship
A sign industry group has won approval from the UK’s Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IATE) for a new Signage Technician apprenticeship.
“The first hurdle has been cleared towards achieving a brand new NVQ Level 3 Signage Technician apprenticeship for the sign and graphics industry,” said the industry group in a statement. “Employers and managers within the sector are now being asked to get involved and help shape the signage qualification of the future.”
The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IATE), launched in 2017, called on “trailblazer working-groups, run by employers, to demonstrate the demand for a specific apprenticeship for their industry.”
“We are delighted to have reached this first, and critical, milestone in the apprenticeship framework process,” says Jeff Bufton, head of operations at Signs Express UK and chair of the sign industry trailblazer group. “We have demonstrated that the mix of skill-sets required for a successful career in signs and graphics is unique. The fact that the Institute’s Board have recognised 'Signage Technician' as an occupation requiring a specific qualification is extremely positive for our whole industry and those who choose to work in it. This is an unprecedented opportunity for people who are passionate about their profession to influence the sign industry apprenticeship of the future. What are the essential skills for a signage technician to enable them to design, make and install signs? How do we devise a qualification that is robust, well-respected and fit for purpose not just today, but also years into the future?”
