Judging is underway in the New Zealand Sign and Display Association awards, the flagship event of the annual NZSDA conference (this year titled Passion, Purpose & Power!) that’s being held next month in Tauranga (13-15 June).
The awards, which attract hundreds of online entries from all over New Zealand, recognize outstanding design and craftsmanship across a range of signmaking methods and technologies.
“After many requests, we extended the deadline which was a good move in the end, with a staggering 109 entries received in just one day,” said Paul Walters, president NZSDA, in a letter last week to members. “The judging of the entries takes place this weekend by our 2019 judges Paul Walters, Andy Lowe and Bevan Weal, along with the Apprentice of the Year applications. Good luck to all those that entered for the Awards and the Apprentice of the Year and we hope to see you all in Tauranga on the 15th June.”
Conference registrations are still being accepted. For tickets, contact Melissa Coutts on 0800 0800 52 or email melissa@nzsda.org.nz
“One event that should not be missed is our Mix and Mingle open to all industry within the region,” said Walters. “This is a free event for everyone to come along connect with suppliers, get to know more about the association and industry and just enjoy the night and entertainment, drinks and nibbles supplied.”
