The Sign Guys NQ in Townsville, Perth’s Focus on Signs and the Melbourne-based Australian Plastic Card Company all announced this week via ASIC that they’ve called in liquidators and are going out of business
Rede Group aka Australian Plastic Cards has been at the forefront of plastic card printing and manufacturing for 25 years. The company is based at Bayswater North VIC and has offices in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.
An employee who answered the phone at Australian Plastic Cards in Melbourne said she was “one of the people losing their jobs” but couldn’t talk about it.
An ASIC notice says the Australian Plastic Card Company - trading name: Lazercard - decided at a meeting on Tuesday July 2 to wind up the company and appointed Peter Goodin as liquidator.
The Sign Guys NQ, whose website has already been taken down, was based at Townsville QLD and specialised in vehicle and boat wrapping.
ASIC says KDNB Pty Ltd - trading name: The Sign Guys NQ – was wound up on Tuesday and Moira Carter of BRI Ferrier in Townsville has been appointed liquidator. For details, email rchristopher@brifnq.com.au
Perth signage firm Focus on Signs, established in 1999, was wound up at a meeting on Monday, with Malcolm Field of SV Partners appointed liquidator.
Focus on Signs, headed by MD Paul Louth, was a family owned and operated signage manufacturing company, specialising in the design and construction of illuminated and non-illuminated signs, according to its website:
“Our production is all done in house at our modern, purpose built 1000sqm workshop in Enterprise Park, Wangara. Our experienced team allows us to take on many challenges, including graphic design, CNC routing, plastic and metal fabrication, LED lighting, 2Pac spray painting, large format digital printing, and installation.”
