EFI buys textiles ink manufacturer Boya Kimya

Electronics For Imaging (EFI) says the acquisition of Turkey-based BDR Boya Kimya, a leading manufacturer of reactive inkjet inks for industrial digital textile printing, will boost its EFI Reggiani business in key textile markets. The deal comes three weeks after the digital printing technology manufacturer said it was being sold for $US1.7 billion to a private equity firm.

Australian print industry reports 'steady growth' in 2018: drupa

The latest drupa Global Trends Report says the global print industry is in a stable condition, with North America reporting strong growth while Europe and Australia/Oceania enjoyed steady growth. Over 600 printers and 200 suppliers participated in the 6th annual drupa survey.

'I don’t want a dead man': wife pulls the pin on Rabs Print

Print veteran Michael Rabbitt has followed his wife’s advice and called in a liquidator to wind up his Brisbane print business Rabs Print & Design after being diagnosed with a potentially fatal heart condition caused by “a great deal of stress” following a downturn in business. It's the second industry liquidation announced this week.
