Israel's Bordeaux Digital Printink Ltd., range of 3rd party inks are proving popular in Australia and New Zealand and they stand to gain even more market share from it's new line of optimal UV inks.
In addition to the company's UV curing inks for flatbed applications, Bordeaux announced at FESPA the expansion of its PLASMA (UV) inks product range to include other common substrates for graphic arts such as Plastic (polypropylene) Sheet.
Bordeaux claim that their newly developed PlFx, part of the PLASMA ink family, adheres perfectly to all substrates commonly used throughout the sign industry as well as flexible materials.
By providing one unified and versatile ink, Bordeaux is able to support more market niches while enabling printers to save both time and money as they will no longer need to switch from one ink type to the next or, use more than one type of ink on different printing machines.
In parallel to its extended range of PLASMA inks, Bordeaux demonstrated its ‘Plug & Play’, ‘Mix & Match’ production philosophy; where printers can use Bordeaux’s PrNr (Eco Solvent) and PrJ3 (light solvent) inks in conjunction with OEM inks, with no need for flushing or profiling.
Moshe Zach, Bordeaux’s CEO commented, ‘With the invention of this new, unique ink, Bordeaux customers will for the first time, be able to ‘Mix & Match’ colours using OEM inks interchangeably with Bordeaux inks to maximise ink consumption. In addition, Bordeaux’s ‘Plug & Play’ range will eliminate the need to calibrate the printer when changing to Bordeaux inks.
