French firm, Hexis S.A. has won the prize Best Wide Format Outdoor Media of the Year 2008 for their V3000/V3100 vinyl film for solvent inkjet printers.
The prize is based on the product’s “highly competitive price, compatibility and wide range of applications” says EDP (European Digital press Association) who each year select the winners of the prestigious award.
The EDP Association represents the publishers of leading European digital printing magazines and cover 15 countries, 7 different languages and a readership exceeding 240,000 graphic arts professionals.
The V3000/V3100 range consists of a 100μm (3.9mil) white intermediate vinyl with a solvent-based acrylic adhesive on a 135g/m² stabilised Kraft liner. The product is available with either a grey permanent adhesive (V3000) or a black removable adhesive (V3100). Both versions come in gloss or matt finish in rolls up to 2m (80in) wide.
The two media are compatible with Mimaki, Mutoh, NUR, Roland, Scitex, Seiko and Vutek solvent and eco-solvent printers. The products are ideal for outdoor estate agent boards, building site hoardings, poster sites and other short-term promotional signage and markings.
