Barbieri Spectro LFP Basic joins the growing family of colour measuring devices that have been designed for the large format print market.
"The new model grants the same high measuring quality as the high-end Spectro LFP RT", said Michael Rooney of cielab, local distributor for Barbieri products.
"The Spectro LFP Basic has a fixed aperture of 6mm which makes it different from the the RT model. The Basic is for reflective measurement only but has a far lower price tag. However it can be upgraded to the higher level RT model", he said.
Barbieri are targeting large format printing organisations with this model since they say that these organisation really have only a need for reflective readings but need the special features of a high quality colour measuring device especially designed for their needs.
The unit is also particularly suitable for textile printers. It performs fully automatic measurements of any kind of reflective media with a thickness up to 20mm. It's big measuring aperture (6mm) provides the maximum accuracy with its readings even on difficult media such as textiles, fabrics, banner, mesh, cardboard and ceramics.
Michael Rooney said that this model will be on show at Pacprint on the cielab stand.
