Fujifilm has added another seasoned digital campaigner to its team, with Trent Eagle joining as Business Development Manager –.Wide Format Inkjet Graphics.
Eagle started in the graphic arts in 1996, with Sharp in New Zealand. He then moved to Canon for eight years before moving across to Konica Minolta NZ for five years, where he also sold Océ equipment, since KM represented Océ across the Tasman.
Making the move to Australia in 2008, Eagle took up the role of High Volume Production Specialist for Konica Minolta Australia, who also represented Océ monochromatic high speed cut sheet printers until being taken over by Canon. He then took over Kodak Nexpress sales for Konica Minolta, before taking a sabbatical for a year.
On joining Fujifilm, he says: “It’s only been a few weeks but I absolutely love working at Fujifilm. The company is fantastic and the team is amazing - the best I have worked with in my 18 years of digital graphic systems supply.”
National Sales Manager Paul Budgen adds: “It’s great to have such a dynamic, experienced operator as Trent on the team. His rugby days have engendered a true team spirit. So long as we don’t get the Haka in the office too often, all will be fine!”
Eagle knows all about teamwork, having played over 250 premier rugby games in New Zealand’s top competition. He played for Wellington Lions (now Hurricanes) and made the NZ sevens squad. He played over 300 games of representative sevens games for Wellington, finding time to co-found the IRANZ (International Rugby Academy of NZ) which is now run by famous former All Black, Murray Mexted.
He also co-founded FACE Nepal; a volunteer programme that runs in Chitwan Nepal.
His spare time is still engulfed by rugby, but these days as a critic – fitting this in while bringing up his 4 ½ year old daughter.
