Dainippon Screen together with Graphic Art Mart held a working demonstration open house at leading POS and Display wide-format printer Flash Graphics, Marrickville NSW on Wednesday 3rd December.

Present were some of the best known wide format printing companies in NSW, along with representatives from Graphic Art Mart and Screen.  The evening began with customary drinks and canapés before Screen technician Peter Townsend

talked guests through the W3200UV-HS features and then fired the machine up, printing outstanding quality full beds at 150 sqm/hr, or 29 full sized beds per hour. One sheet was flipped over and printed in precise register on the reverse with a minimum of set-up.
The printed output attracted close inspection from the experts in the audience, with heads nodding in approval of the 1,000dpi quality and sheer productivity of the new machine. Productivity is not linked to speed alone as the machine has automated printhead cleaning, nozzle mapping and zoned vacuum print table – all of which combine to increase uptime and hence productivity.
Commissioned only in late October, the W3200 has already proved its worth at Flash Graphics, reducing turn-around time for jobs at its busiest time of year and taking Flash’s renowned photographic quality colour output up to a new level. The colours immediately look more saturated, denser, punchier and vivid over previous production devices.
Peter Scott, Screen Managing Director says: “I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Fred Udên and his team at Flash Graphics for agreeing to allow other printers into his factory for the open house. For us and our dealer Graphic Art Mart it was a huge success and gave us the opportunity to show the W3200UV actually printing rather than just handing out samples and brochures.”
The Screen Truepress Jet W3200UV-HS is built by Inca Digital in the UK, a Screen subsidiary company. It is sold in Australia through Graphic Art Mart and supported by Screen factory-trained engineers.
