With some 1,200 printing industry companies expected to change hands in the next 10 years Printing Industries’ succession planning webinar next week presents an opportunity for business owners to find out how to best maximise their returns.
It’s not all just about selling the business either as many of the business ownership transitions may not be voluntary.
The 30-minute webinar at 1pm (AEST) on Wednesday 18 March will examine the best ways of handling both voluntary and involuntary transitions.
It will look at:
•The voluntary and involuntary transition / succession alternatives.
•What’s your business worth now, and what will it be worth on exit?
•How to identify and clearly articulate your needs.
•Formulating a plan covering your business and personal goals.
•Implementation and monitoring.
Industry veteran and Director of Ascent partners, Richard Rasmussen, is the guest speaker bringing with him some 34 years’ experience in business development and succession planning for the printing industry.
“Sixty percent of our industry’s business owners are over 55 and want to exit in the next 10 years,” he said.
“That’s around 1,200 businesses that will change ownership voluntarily or involuntarily by 2025. The majority of these owners don’t know what their business is really worth, and they don’t have a transition or succession plan.
“Understanding where they are now, where they need to be, and the possible options to get there are paramount to a successful final outcome”.
Mr Rasmussen said the webinar would present 30 minutes of invaluable information that every business owner needed to understand, regardless of where they saw their business sitting today.
The webinar will be followed by a 15 minute Q&A session. To register for this free webinar, click here.
