HP today announced the creation of a collaborative on-line forum where print service providers (PSPs) in the sign and display markets from Europe, the Middle East and Africa can meet with HP experts and each other to share knowledge and best practice.
HP is inviting up to 300 PSPs, using both HP and non-HP equipment alike, to join the “Go Large with HP” community. These members will act as ‘virtual advisors’ whose feedback will help HP to gain an in-depth and topical understanding of the needs and challenges facing printers operating in this market. This is an example of how HP is using its Web 2.0 concepts; by listening to customers and encouraging them to influence the products and services which will enable HP to respond to the ever-changing needs of the sign and display market.
Members will benefit from the ability to:
- have a direct relationship with HP
- interact and network with peers in a small, non-competitive, relevant and secure on-line forum
- connect with other visionary PSPs to exchange ideas, share successes and best practice, as well as strategies on technical subjects
- influence the development of HP products and services to meet their evolving needs.
Community members will be asked to commit as little as five to 15 minutes per week to share their expertise and experience, as well as participate in brainstorms, surveys or discussions with HP and other members.
“We hope that the creation of this on-line community will enable PSPs to engage with HP in a simple and direct way. We would like it to become a valued resource where they can obtain knowledge, solutions, and peer-to-peer support in order to grow their businesses,” said Luis Christophe, manager, signage market, EMEA HP.
The Go Large with HP on-line community is being launched in English, today 25th October. The community will comprise a maximum of 300 audited printers.
