German manufacturer Rotocontrol has signed Melbourne-based Maxteq as the Australia and New Zealand representative for its suite of finishing machines providing label inspection, slitting, rewinding, die cutting, overprinting, digital and booklet printed labels.

The deal was finalized after Maxteq technical director Andrew Maxwell visited the Rotocontrol stand at Labelexpo Americas to see first-hand the company’s latest label finishing technology.

Rotocontrol featured the DT-Series 340 (see video) for advanced finishing of digitally preprinted label rolls, the FC-Series 540 fully-automatic turret for rewinding of pressure sensitive self-adhesive labels, and the RSC-Series 440 high-performance, compact, extremely robust label slitter/rewinder.
“I was impressed with Rotocontrol’s live demonstrations on three of their label finishing solutions during Labelexpo,” said Maxwell. “Their proven German engineering in highly customized machines along with a strong backing in manufacturing expertise by their parent company EMT has proven successful at an international level. There is a strong market for Rotocontrol here in Australia and New Zealand.”
Rotocontrol International, a wholly owned subsidiary of EMT International, designs and manufactures finishing machines for label inspection, slitting, rewinding, die cutting, overprinting, digital and booklet printed labels.
Maxteq, based at 40 Geddes Street, Mulgrave in Melbourne, represents international manufacturers of printing presses, finishing and print machinery, as well as consumables. Its customers range from the small boutique companies to large international corporations.
Its range includes: flexographic, offset and digital printing machinery for the label and general narrow web market; slitting, rewinding and die cutting machines; digital finishing machines; hot foiling, embossing and hologram placement systems; Anilox management systems; and consumables including flexible dies, doctor blades, mounting tape and more.
Maxteq also represents the large format digital press MPS SYMJET Hybrid based MPS servo technology. To support existing large format digital presses, it supplies Cartes Digital Finishing machines including the GT360 and the high output Gemini Series.
