Konica Minolta Australia has appointed industry veteran Jamie Weller as its new sales specialist to look after Industrial Print operations across Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.
Weller (pictured above), who will be based in Melbourne, brings with him more than 30 years' experience in print, having previously held roles at HP, Kodak, and Heidelberg. Most recently, he was regional manager at Kornit Digital.
“We are very excited to have Jamie Weller join the industrial print team as sales specialist,” says David Cascarino, KM’s national manager for Industrial Print. “Our decision to appoint Jamie was an easy one: he has a significant knowledge of the print industry, many years of experience, and the ability to slot into a great number of required disciplines."
Weller, who will be on-stand at this year's PrintEx (August 13-16, Sydney Olympic Park), is also happy with the move.
“I'm delighted to have joined the Konica Minolta team, and excited to be working for a company with such a long history in innovation, that cares about its customers and the community. I'm looking forward to being at Konica Minolta's stand at PrintEx, and meeting everyone at the show.”
Sue Threlfo, general manager, Production and Industrial Print, says the KM stand (D37) at PrintEx will feature live demonstrations of a range of products:
Key products in the Konica Minolta Australia industrial print offering include:
- The AccurioJet KM-1 B2 Inkjet Press, a sheet-fed UV inkjet press, which delivers “all the quality and versatility of offset printing with the convenience and flexibility of digital printing on any type of stock. New applications made possible by the KM-1 include packaging, personalised packaging, niche marketing with specialty stocks, and more.”
- MGI JetVarnish EVO & iFoil. The MGI JETvarnish 3D EVO has been designed to offer digital and offset printers a highly-accurate UV spot coating system with iFoil embellishment.
- C71cf label press. The bizhub PRESS C71cf is ideal for label printers who are looking to shift volumes from conventional presses to digital so they can deal with shorter print-run lengths, requests for faster delivery times, personalisation and versioning, and producing on-demand runs.
- MGI Meteor Unlimited Colours. The METEOR Unlimited Colours is the first all-in-one digital inline toner printing and hot-foiling solution that can create unlimited metallic colours. This effect can be achieved by blending the CMYK toner and taking advantage of the reflective qualities of foil.
