ePac to add another 11 global flexible packaging sites, including Australia

ePac Flexible Packaging, an industry leader in quick turn, short and medium run-length flexible packaging, has announced it will accelerate its growth and transition to a global enterprise over the next 18 months. Eleven new sales and manufacturing locations will be established across Europe, Australia-Asia Pacific, Middle East/North Africa, and North America bringing ePac’s global footprint to 36 locations.

Outdoor advertiser JCDecaux Australia says billboards in Sydney and Melbourne that celebrate ‘A New Era’ in Hong Kong are in accordance with “relevant policies” in relation to outdoor advertising. The ads have been slammed as “blatant lies” and communist propaganda by Hongkongers living in Australia. The Greens leader Adam Bandt has called for them to be taken down.

$A6.5 billion revenue in 3 months but profits hit: Fujifilm update

Industry giant Fujifilm Group recorded a 7.4% increase in revenue to ¥625.9 billion ($6.5 billion AUD) for the three months to June 30 as net income fell by 27% partly due to higher energy and raw materials costs.

38 contract terms in 11 Fujifilm small business contracts declared unfair and void

In the Federal Court today, 12th August 2022, 38 contract terms entered into by Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia or Fujifilm Leasing Australia (together, called "Fuji" by the ACCC) with many thousands of small businesses were declared unfair and void, following court action by the ACCC commenced in 2020 when the firm was known as Fuji-Xerox. The unfair contracts, which Fujifilm has admitted, relate to the supply of printing equipment and software.

Kornit Digital posts $19m loss in volatile Q2 market; CFO exits

Textile printing technology manufacturer Kornit Digital recorded $58.1m in revenue for the second quarter to June 30, down from $81.7m pcp, with a GAAP net loss of $19.5m compared to net income of $5.6m in Q2 2021. The company announced that chief financial officer Alon Rozner is leaving for personal reasons and will be replaced by industry veteran Lauri Hanover.

Orafol Germany safeguards energy supply by adding LNG capacity

Weaker Yen, increased sales help Mimaki present good Q1 result

Mimaki has joined other Japanese wide format manufacturers in announcing good sales growth for the first quarter of 2022. 'China and Russia' affected the results but sales were still up 13.4% and operating profit up 10.3% over 2021's Q1. The forecast for the half and full financial years has been revised upwards accordingly.

IVE Group launches bid for Ovato
