Large format business begins to recover: Agfa

Agfa’s first quarter earnings were down 36% pcp to 15 million Euro but the Belgium-based print technology company says most of its business units are showing signs of recovery, led by Health Care IT, ink products for sign & display applications, and large format printing equipment.

Budget paves way for small business-led recovery: ASBFEO

Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman (ASBFEO) Bruce Billson says the 2021 budget is “a clear acknowledgement that small and family businesses are central to the nation’s economic recovery and future prosperity.” JobTrainer has been extended for another year and small businesses can continue to write-off the full value of assets purchased until 2023.
Meanwhile, unions 
slammed the budget as failing the manufacturing sector.

Ricoh takes $A1.4bn (¥124.4bn) Covid hit as recovery begins

Ricoh posted an operating loss of ¥45.4 billion for the year ended March 31, 2021, down ¥124.4bn from the previous year’s profit of ¥79bn. But the global print technology company says the recovery is underway and predicts a return to a profit of ¥50bn in the current financial year.

Wide Format event kicks off Fespa’s new FIT virtual series
